Willie Miller

Willie Miller is an Assistant Librarian at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) University Library, where he serves as subject liaison to the IU School of Informatics and the IU School of Journalism. In addition, Miller leads the library’s Campus Outreach Group. His research interests focus on student engagement and instructional technology. He recently completed a study with seven teaching faculty from several disciplines that analyzed student perceptions of engagement and learning while using iPads in class. Miller is a 2010 graduate of the Indiana University School of Library & Information Science, a Indiana’s Librarians Leading in Diversity Scholar, and a 2012 ALA Emerging Leader.

Current projections suggest that mobile web usage will overtake desktop usage this year. Faculty and librarians are charged to find ways to use mobile devices to contribute to learning.
